Charlie possesses a natural aptitude for business, characterized by his visionary outlook and intuitive decision-making. Armed with an M.B.A. with a minor in Marketing from INCAE Business School and a B.A. in Business Administration and Finance from Universidad Francisco Marroquín, he has honed his expertise over 14 years of executive leadership in multinational corporations. Throughout his career, Charlie has spearheaded corporate finance initiatives, developed innovative business models, crafted effective go-to-market strategies, and led high-performance teams to successful execution.

In 2020, amidst the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, Charlie initiated Vertikal Sports Performance, pioneering one of Central America's premier high-tech training facilities catering to athletes. Additionally, he established Zero Sixty, an innovative e-commerce platform specializing in cutting-edge sports products, boasting distribution partnerships with renowned brands like Hyperice, Vald, and Coros. As a Co-Founder of a Pilates Pro Works studio, Charlie diversified his ventures into the realm of fitness and wellness. Notably, in 2022, he strategically exited three businesses to concentrate on Vertikal X, his flagship sports tech platform based in the USA.

Meta Man
Unable to focus in his youth sports career due to financial constraints after losing his dad at 14, Vertikal X was born from his personal journey. His aim is to empower young athletes globally, accelerating their sports careers and providing opportunities for advancement through the VTX platform.In December 2021, Charlie made the decision to move to Austin, Texas to pursue his dreams to give athletes the opportunity to fund their sports career, where Vertikal X became a portfolio company of International Accelerator.
Ultra Man
In 2015, Charlie pursued ultra trail running to combat depression. Within three years, he achieved remarkable success, ranking #138 in the 2018 World Trail Championship and Top 5 among Latin Americans in the Ultra Trail World Tour. Supported by loyal sponsors, he transitioned to extreme triathlons in 2023, emerging as a top finisher after just two races and ranking in the top 20 globally. Charlie's adaptability and determination shine through in his ability to excel in new challenges.
